A security issue affects these releases of Ubuntu and its derivatives:
– Ubuntu 21.04 – Ubuntu 20.04 LTS – Ubuntu 18.04 LTS – Ubuntu 16.04 ESM
Summary:
Exiv2 could be made to denial of service if received a specially crafted image.
Software Description: – exiv2: EXIF/IPTC/XMP metadata manipulation tool
Details:
It was discovered that Exiv2 incorrectly handled certain images. An attacker could possibly use this issue to cause a denial of service.
Update instructions:
The problem can be corrected by updating your system to the following package versions:
Ubuntu 21.04: libexiv2-27 0.27.3-3ubuntu1.4
Ubuntu 20.04 LTS: libexiv2-27 0.27.2-8ubuntu2.5
Ubuntu 18.04 LTS: libexiv2-14 0.25-3.1ubuntu0.18.04.10
Ubuntu 16.04 ESM: libexiv2-14 0.25-2.1ubuntu16.04.7+esm3
In general, a standard system update will make all the necessary changes.

Summary:
Several security issues were fixed in GnuTLS.
Software Description: – gnutls28: GNU TLS library
Details:
It was discovered that GnuTLS incorrectly handled sending certain extensions when being used as a client. A remote attacker could use this issue to cause GnuTLS to crash, resulting in a denial of service, or possibly execute arbitrary code.
Update instructions:
The problem can be corrected by updating your system to the following package versions:
Ubuntu 20.04 LTS: libgnutls30 3.6.13-2ubuntu1.6
